Section 2 – Administrative Board Members
These members shall be elected from within the total GCA membership.
Section 3 – General/Special Elections
General elections shall take place in December of each year. Special elections to fill vacancies or new positions may be called by the President as required.
Section 4 – Term of office
A President-Elect shall be elected every year for a three-year term; serving as President the second year and Past President the third year. All other elected positions shall serve a two-year term (with option for one (1) additional two (2) year term or until their successors are elected). A Nominating Committee, chaired by the Past President, shall be appointed as required from within the Administrative Board membership by the President. The Glencroft Vice President of Development, as ex-officio non-voting member, shall be included as a member of this committee. For general and special elections, a list of nominees shall be developed by the Nominating Committee, submitted for review by the Administrative Board, and presented to the GCA Membership a minimum of ten (10) days prior to the scheduled election. No name may be placed in nomination without the written consent of the nominee.
Section 6 – Voting Procedures
Voting shall be by ballot. A plurality shall elect. In the event there is but one nominee for any office, the vote may be taken by voice vote or acclamation.
